I usually wouldn't read a book like this. I go for realistic stories, be they about wars or actual events and even biographies / autobiographies. But a friend of mine recommended this and at the time it was free. So I decided to give it a try.I have the Kindle app on my phone and use it during work, (self employed) so the annoying thing is I couldn't stop reading it and I always have my phone on me. Not like I can just leave the book behind to get away from it. I would read it during breaks and really during work too. So work would technically be longer than normal because of my down time and this book.
I am not here to tell you what the book is about. I'm here just to tell you my experience and what I normally read. It's a good book by what seems like a first time author, and I look forward to many more, as long as his writing style hasn't changed. I can't compare this to any books, as I do not read this genre but maybe I will since I reading this. A good read if you enjoy fiction. With all the types of films coming out as well, I'm sure if you enjoy those you will this too.

I couldn't put the book down when I started reading it because it was so great! I loved the story line and it kept me guessing what would happen next! The name of the main character is dumb but it's a minor detail to a great book!
This is usually not my genre of books but it was recommended and I have to say it was a good read. Story was a good one and I am looking forward to other books from this author.
This is a hauntingly dark story behind its veil of fantasy and adventure. T.S. brings you to an entirely new world with creatures and monsters that ensure a handful of epic battles along the journey. It's hard to find good "classics" nowadays and that's exactly what the author has written in my opinion. A "classic", for lack of a better word. The story starts a little slowly but by the middle of the book I was engrossed in this perfect blend of fantasy and heroics. Soldier has become the strongest protagonist I've read about in a long while and I was clenching the edge of my seat through most the pages. But he's not your cliche character thats read about in every book, that's what I believe made this story resonate with me. Is that beneath his heroics and acts of valor, he's a wounded hero and by far one of my favorites now.
But, personally what made the story for me, and makes the book worth reading, is the antagonist"s". I dare not give anything away, but the ending of the book culminates into the greatest scene that I quite possibly have read in a long while. I've always said in order to have a great hero, it's necessary to have a great villain. T.S. gave this masterfully crafted story both.
Lastly, beneath the bells and whistles of Praevalere, hidden under the pages of the book, and artfully woven between each chapter are themes that come full circle into a hearty satisfying ending that leaves you with a sense of awe. SO much so that I literally went back to several chapters trying to tie the hidden pieces together that were easily missed. Thats what really impressed me. That this is one of those books you want to read two or three times so you can truly grasp the full meaning of what the author was conveying.
It was well written and its minor flaws grammatically are easily overlooked while you're fully engrossed in the story. A book of valor, love, and the length Soldier is willing to go to stop evil... A great read, especially if you enjoy this genre or like a story that has more depth to it... I'm a fan.
