Rachel Finn is always just a friend. When the man of her dreams marries someone else, she begins to wonder if she’s been missing out on life and shortchanging Christ in the process. That’s when she runs, very literally, into Micah Johnson.
Micah is content to be alone after a failed relationship destroyed any trust he had in women. Still, he finds himself welcoming Rachel’s friendship and valuing her thoughts, especially when his sister’s plans threaten to change his entire future.
Will Rachel and Micah learn together that giving Christ everything means giving every day to Him and having the faith to trust Him? And is there more to their relationship than being just friends?

How do you solve a problem like Rachel? (Sung to the tune of "How Do you Solve a Problem Like Maria" from Sound of Music) Seriously. This girl was NOT one of my favorite characters after reading some of Jenn's other books. I love how she can turn an unloveable character into someone you just can't quit reading about and cheering on... because that's so true in real life. Many of us are so unlovely, and then God changes our hearts and drops us right down into the situation we need to be in... and we become beautiful. Wonderful story. Love it.Product details

Just Friends edition by Jenn Faulk Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I loved the background story both Micah and Rachel have and the development of their relationship. I loved how both their characters are so likable and so relatable. I think a lot of women can relate to the term "just friends" as this novel certainly explores this concept. Loved it, can't wait until the next novel!
So enjoyed this wonderful story. Loved how Rachel and Micah met and their dentist/patient relationship cracked me up. They had wonderful chemistry from the start, and their friendship was so sweet and special. I also loved the relationship Micah had with his sister, Joy, and the friendship that formed between Rachel and Joy as well. There were so many funny and sweet moments throughout and the progression of their feelings for each other, despite being just friends, was great. I read this in one sitting. Didn't want to put it down. Great read!
I found myself laughing out loud at some of the conversations between the 'psychotic older brothers'. -) Really enjoyed the story of Micah and Rachel. Who can't identify with a broken heart? Loved the way God restored their losses and gave them an even greater love. As with most inspirational stories, the Lord ministers to me as well. Some of the 'religious' talk got a little heavy for me, but found the dialogue and 'realness' of the characters compesated for that and made it 'real'. Look forward to reading more by this fabulous author!!!
Rachel Finn and Micah Johnson had both been hurt when the person they thought they were in love with broke up with them and married someone else. Rachel fears no man will ever love her romantically and would rather be “just friends.” Micah has a hard time trusting that he won’t be hurt again. But Rachel begins to see that she loves Micah much more than she ever did Seth, and Micah loves how Rachel makes him feel and makes him want to be a better person.
This was a sweet engaging story, but I didn’t like how the misunderstanding went on and on. At least the book was short, although I would have liked it better with more depth and some conflict other than being afraid to tell each other how they really felt and thinking the other was still in love with someone else.
I loved how this started, it was refreshing to read about the honesty of a broken heart from a crush. It was going to be a great story. I loved how the hero stepped in. Then it went downhill with the "just friends " card way overplayed and not believable. There was also a sudden jump that left me puzzled when after their first tiff, when they didn't know each other well yet, to suddenly, time is skipped over, they're best friends going to Europe together as unmarried Christians. I didn't get it. Another place I was momentarily confused was after several references to a girl named April, there was reference to the month of April, but I had to stop and figure that out. A different month or name could have been chosen. Aside from that, perhaps this story accurately portrays how a high-functioning Downs Syndrome person might be. I don't know, my relative isn't that level, but it was educational and encouraging. I would read another book by this author because it might be a great story.
Would recommend this book to any Christian
readers. Good story, good reading. I think that
all couples should be good friends first. I give it
five stars.
I wasn't sure about this book in the beginning. The main character was very unlikable and came off as if she weren't as Christian as she said she was. The same goes for the male interest in this book. He starts off great, but then he also develops an unlikable personality somewhere in the middle of the book. There were a lot of suggestive undertones as if it should have been an adult romance book but couldn't quite get there. I wasn't sure if I was even going to be able to finish the book because of how much the connection between Rachel and Micah felt like high school. In the end, it was a sweet story even if there were a lot of suggestive undertones and the characters were unlikable in some parts.
